The reasons for this superior performance lies in the groundbreaking design, optimized manufacturing methods, and a window cage made from PPA high-performance polyamide (polyphthalamide, suffix TVP).  
The bearings offer machine designers a larger degree of freedom during product development. The mounting dimensions of all the common sizes are now identical thanks to the adaptation of the enveloping circle to match non-Schaeffler bearings.

Depending on requirements, design engineers can place the focus on a higher load carrying capacity or a longer operating life. The PPA window cage additionally ensures lower friction, resulting in reduced heat generation and enabling significantly higher limiting speeds up to the speed levels of axial bearings (BAX bearings). This allows significantly improved designs to be achieved, particularly when the bearings are used in conjunction with high-speed axial bearings.
